As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it has inspired me to reflect on my journey as Finance Director at Acrelec UK & Ireland. I’m proud to be part of a leadership team that drives innovation, collaboration, and strives for positive cultural change.

My career in finance has been shaped by curiosity, resilience and the belief that strong teams are built when people feel empowered. At Acrelec, that spirit is evident every day. Working here means being part of a business that values fresh thinking, encourages ownership and embraces the diverse strengths each person brings. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what makes this role so energising.

I’m especially grateful for the incredible women who have taken the time to mentor, guide and support me throughout my career at Acrelec. Their generosity in sharing their experience, perspective and encouragement has played an important role in inspiring my development within the company. Their support is a reminder that progress happens when women invest in each other, share what they’ve learnt and create space for our future leaders to thrive.

One of the greatest privileges of my position is the opportunity to mentor and support other women in finance. Whether they’re just starting out or stepping into new leadership responsibilities, seeing them grow in confidence and capability is something I greatly value and appreciate about my position; it’s a responsibility I take very seriously.

I’m proud to represent women in leadership at Acrelec UK & Ireland and to see more women across the organisation shaping our future.
