Meet Adam – Supply Chain Manager for Acrelec UK & Ireland and Odema

As the Supply Chain Manager for Acrelec UK & Ireland and Odema, I’m proud to share some of the progress we’ve made across our operations, as well as the work we’re continuing to build on to support our customers, engineers, and partners.

Building a Stronger Supply Chain Team

One of the areas I’m most proud of is the investment we’ve made in our people. Across both our Hemel Hempstead and Altrincham sites, we have strengthened and expanded our Supply Chain team — bringing together a group of talented individuals who support each other, drive improvements, and keep our operations running smoothly.

A resilient, skilled team is at the heart of any successful supply chain, and I’m grateful for the commitment and collaboration shown across the department.

Driving Operational Excellence

We’ve made several significant enhancements to how we manage and move our hardware, all focused on improving reliability, accuracy, and service for our customers.

Improved Pick Accuracy & Dispatch Efficiency

Refinements to our picking processes and dispatch controls have resulted in quicker and more accurate deliveries — helping ensure projects and installations run to plan.

Better Forecasting for Better Availability

Through structured Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), we have improved our forecasting accuracy. This has strengthened our stock availability and enabled us to respond more proactively to customer demand.

Processes That Support Our Engineers & Customers

By introducing new procedures and strengthening supply chain discipline, we’ve improved fulfilment times and consistency. Engineers and customers can now rely on more predictable availability — reducing delays and creating smoother service interactions.

Our Continued Focus

Looking ahead, we remain focused on refining our operations and building a supply chain that is agile, efficient, and customer‑centric.

Improving Break-Fix Responsiveness

We are actively enhancing stock levels and turnaround processes for break‑fix maintenance, ensuring our partners get faster support when issues arise.

Optimising Both Warehousing Locations

By improving coordination and workflow across our Hemel Hempstead and Altrincham warehouses, we are targeting faster throughput, smoother operations, and an even more dependable service for our customers.

I’m proud of the progress we’ve made and excited about the improvements we’re continuing to deliver. Our goal is simple: provide a supply chain operation that is reliable, efficient, and consistently aligned with the needs of our partners and customers.
